An entreprenurial life

Being an entrepreneur is exciting yet it comes with a bit of gentle panic on most days. Am I working efficiently enough? How can I possibly do this all on my own? Why me?

That last question is why is this effervescent passion to build this in my heart? I've discovered that it's because it's rooted in my purpose to spread light through storytelling and to make the world a kinder, gentler place in the process.

Little by little, as the sparks ignite my innermost soul so to does the path reveal itself. To quote Rumi, "as you start to walk on the way, the way appears."

I think it's important to remember that whether you are entrepreneurially minded or not, there will always be naysayers, skeptics, and critics along the way as to the endeavors you choose to pursue.

This is good news!

It helps you develop discernment and constantly reflect. Reflection as long as it doesn't stymie the process is the key to moving your ideas and businesses forward.

There will also be cheerleaders, friends and family, colleagues and acquaintances, who look at you with wonder at your delusional bliss of creating something. Keep those people close. They are your guides.

I am the daughter of a CEO who built his company from the ground up. When my father is nostalgic these days, which is often the case, he talks to me about building his business. He reminds me to make the connections and build relationships. He pushes me to remember that hard work, discipline, talent, and a stroke of luck are what will make this work.

Are you a creative? A dreamer? Keep dreaming. The bigger the better and wherever you land will unfold before your eyes in ways that are often more wondrous than you could even imagine.

Now back to work for me. 917 Studios is becoming what it was always meant to be and then some more. One day the stories of my heart and others will become the films they already are.

Warmly,
Rebecca
