Happy??

A few years back I wrote and developed a television pilot and series titled "Happy??" about women living in Portland, Oregon and what happiness looked like for each of them.

Back when I wrote this, I had written 7 other TV Pilots and then started writing and producing films.

It's funny how life circles around themes, and you dance around ideas until you finally get where you're going.

Of course as a creative, we always go back to projects, and it's always about the right time, the right producers, and the right project.

I've dusted this off and am going to take another go at it using my growth as a beacon and as a lens that happiness is a journey not a destination and that humor makes everything more palatable.

Storytelling is a conduit to express ourselves, to reflect, and to elicit empathy and compassion.

Even if screenwriting isn't your modality of writing, I invite you to write something today... a poem, a short story, a grocery list and see where it takes you... if even to the market. :)
